Funeral services for Virgie Vires Dillingham, 83, of Bowling Green, formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Sunday, February 11, 2007, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Revs. Irvin Darnall and Terry Mitcheson officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Page Cemetery in Dover Tenn.

Mrs. Dillingham died on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 11:30 a.m., at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green, of natural causes.

Mrs. Dillingham was born on March 16, 1923, in Harlan, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Johnny and Sulia Wallace Vires.

Mrs. Dillingham was a former foster care provided for children in Trigg County, and was a member of Canton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Russell Dillingham; a brother, Odell Vires; and two sisters, Pauline Vick and Helen Sloan.

Survivors include a son, Roger Dillingham of Bowling Green; a nephew, Bill Vires of the home; a sister, Eloise Quinlan of Westland, Mich.; and three grandchildren, James Russell Dillingham of Sellersville, Pa., and Jennifer Jo Dillingham and Natalie Dillingham, both of Bowling Green.

Martha Fortner, organist, provided the music.

Serving as pallbearers were Roger Dillingham, James Russell Dillingham, Johnny White, Ken Wallace, Harrison Mitcheson, Michael Mitcheson, and Thomas Harris.
