The guest speaker for the evening will be Trigg County and University of Kentucky alumni Al Baker. Al is the all-time leading rusher in Trigg County Football history. Running for over 5,000 yards and posting 33 consecutive 100 yard games, Al was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1985.
The dinner for the evening will be catered by Jack McGee. With the purchase of each $100 ticket, each person will be provided dinner and admission to football and boys’ basketball games throughout the season (playoff, tournament, and bowl games are excluded).
Tickets can be purchased from Coach Wright, Coach Burcham, Scott Sutherland, Jerry Faris or Jim Wallace. Tickets will be valid for this week’s season opener against Union City, Tenn.
If you have purchased tickets in the past, we hope that you will continue to support Trigg County Athletics by way of your continued support. If you would like to purchase tickets for the first time, please contact one of the persons above and any one of them will be willing to share with you how funds have been utilized in the past to benefit Trigg County Athletics.

OT: I have talked to The Cadiz Record about doing a second column each week. There are so many people and topics to write about, both sports and non-sports related. The big hold up is that it requires money to pay for the space that would be taken up. Therefore, if anyone is interested in sponsoring another column, please contact The Cadiz Record. Maybe it could be a good form of advertising for an individual or business. I’ll bring the stories and features, you provide the space. See you next week. TWICE I HOPE!
