Funeral services for Walter Gayle Gresham Jr., 44, of Cerulean, were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Lamb Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. Burial followed at Cornelius Cemetery in Cerulean.

Gresham died on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009. He was born on Feb. 6, 1965, in Christian County, to Sherry Foster Gresham of Cerulean and the late Walter Gayle Gresham Sr.

He was a member of Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church in Cerulean, and worked in golf maintenance at Pennyrile Forest State Park in Dawson Springs.

He is survived by his brother Kevin D. Gresham of Cerulean and his sisters Mrs. Kip (Karen D.) Turner of Cerulean, Mrs. Ricky (Kelly D.) Johnson of Elkhorn, Ky., and Mrs. Delbert (Kimberly D.) Roeder of Cadiz.

He is also survived by his two nieces Terri Lynn Futrell of Hopkinsville and Mary Elizabeth F. Roeder of Cadiz, as well as his five nephews Kyle Boyd Gresham of Hopkinsville, Daniel Gresham Roeder of Hopkinsville, John Edwin Roeder of Cadiz, Adam Stephen Roeder of Hopkinsville and Michael Tanner Roeder of Cadiz.

Additionally, he is survived by his three great nephews Ethan Gresham of Jacksonville, Fla., and Landon Boyd Gresham and Alexander Wallace Futrell of Hopkinsville, and his great niece Anna Caroline Roeder of Cadiz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Pennyrile Hospice.

The active pallbearers were Dorsey Gresham, Kendal Gresham, Daniel Gresham Roeder, John Edwin Roeder, Adam Stephen Roeder and Kyle Boyd Gresham.

The honorary pallbearers were Michael Tanner Roeder, Matthew Futrell, Randy Gresham, David Gresham and Allen Hensley.
