Mrs. Murphy died of natural causes at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at her home.
She was born September 22, 1952 in Benton to the late Roy Lee Ramey and Eva Mae Wood Ramey.
She was a member of Rockcastle United Methodist Church. She previously worked at the former Johnson Controls, Inc. in Cadiz. She was a current student of Brown Mackie College in Hopkinsville where she served as a student ambassador. She was employed part time at Cranberry Creek Rustics in Cadiz as a store attendant, and she also created and designed crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Fray of Cadiz; two brothers, Galon Ramey of Grand Rivers and Phillip Ramey ; one sister, Phyllis Hopkins of Enville, Tenn.; one daughter, Mischelle Murphy of Princeton; five step-children, Michelle Humston of Evansville, Ind., Harla McIntire of Newburgh, Ind., Scott Fray of Albuquerque, N.M., Kathy Towery of Princeton and Bobby Murphy of Eddyville; two grandchildren, and 13 step grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Billy Joe Hopkins, Michael Hopkins, Brian McIntire, Tim Humston, Damian Huston and Benny Fray.
