Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thaxton of Herndon are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Vernell Thaxton, to Alan Glenn Watts of Cadiz, son of Beth Watts and the late Glenn Watts of Herndon.

The bride-elect is a 1986 graduate of Christian County High School. She is the head cashier at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market in Cadiz. She is also co-captain of the Roaring Springs Christian Church Relay for Life Team.

Her fiancé is a 1986 graduate of Christian County High School and a 1990 graduate of Western Kentucky University. He is employed as News Director of WKDZ and WKDZ-FM in Cadiz and WHVO in Hopkinsville. He is co-host of WKDZ Country Club. He also owns and operates the Lakeland Jamboree in Cadiz.

The wedding is scheduled for Saturday November 6, 2004 at 2:30 at Roaring Springs Christian Church. A reception will follow at The Lakeland Jamboree.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and reception. Invitations are being sent to out of town guests only.
