Rev. Clarence Cooper, assisted by Rev. John David Graham, officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Cedar Hill Cemetery with Military Graveside Honors.
Mr. Hinton died on Sunday, February 18, 2007, at 6:30 p.m., at the Regional Medical Center in Madisonville following a long illness.
Mr. Hinton was born on June 29, 1927, in Union County. He was the son of the late Jack S. and Stella Ruth Polley Hinton.
Mr. Hinton was a retired Correction Officer with the KSP; was a U.S. Air Force Veteran; and was a member of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Kelly Harrell Hinton of Princeton; a son, Barry Hinton of Princeton; a daughter, Mary Hinton of Princeton; three step-sons, Tommy Choate and Roger Choate, both of Princeton, and Kenneth Cooper of Madison, Ind.; a step-daughter, Nancy Wright of Princeton; a brother, Jack Hinton of Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Steven Choate, David Choate, Jordan Choate, and Jared Choate, Megan Jackson, Phillip Wright, Karen Graham, and Dustin Cooper; and six great-grandchildren, Johnny Graham, Caleb Graham, Stephen Graham, and Aiden Graham, Madi Choate, and Jillian Choate.
