With the win, Trigg County halted a four-game losing streak. The Wildcats dropped four straight games in the Marion (Ill.) Holiday Classic. Trigg County had lost five of its last six games.
Coach Mike Wright’s Trigg County team played well in its first time back on the hardwood following the Illinois tournament.
King was one of three Trigg County players to reach double figures in the scoring column in the district contest against Crittenden County. Dustin White scored 18 points and Bradley Davis added 12 for the Wildcats.
Shelton Burruss scored seven points, Jalik Alexander added five and Zeke Wright contributed three for Trigg County. The Wildcats managed to outscore Crittenden County in each of the first three quarters.
More than one Wildcat has been healing over the last couple of weeks. Trigg County is returning to full strength. Davis (ankle) and Wright (shoulder) were both out with injuries.
