Senior guard/forward Chris Covington led a high-scoring Logan County attack with a game-high 28 points. Junior guard Seth McReynolds was the second-leading scorer for Logan County, tossing in 22 points. Freshman forward Twin Lancaster helped to lead Logan County with 20 points of his own.
Logan County, which played quite possibly its best game of the season to date, tightened up defensively in the second quarter, outscoring Trigg County 22-9 en route to a 36-28 halftime advantage.
Logan County, which had dropped four straight games before defeating Trigg County, added to its lead in the second half. After owning an 11-point advantage at the end of the third quarter, Logan County outscored Trigg County 24-17 in the final period.
Jonathan King led Trigg County with a team-best 21 points. King was one of three Trigg County scorers to reach double figures. Zeke Wright tossed in 16 points and Bradley Davis added 13 for the Wildcats.
Logan County, a team that had struggled during most of the 2008-09 season under first-year head coach Harold Tackett, improved to 4-17 after posting the win.
