Buckner died Thursday, October 1, 2009, at his residence in Hopkinsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Morris & Lillian Joyce (Scheider) Buckner II.
He is survived by his life partner Frank Wright, Hopkinsville, two sisters, Shelley Hedwall of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Melanye Francisco of Hermitage, Tenn. and one brother, Barney Francisco of Luttrell, Tenn.
