As of Monday, Homemakers member Charlotte Brown said that at least 45 booths were signed up. She said that space for booths is open to anyone and that they could call the extension office at 522-3269 until May 25 to sign up. Brown said the Homemakers would once again use the proceeds to pay for two $500 scholarships. Booths will cost $20 if the extension office needs to provide a table and $15 if the business or organization furnishes it themselves.
Brown said several door prizes would be offered this year. One of them will be a night’s lodging at Lake Barkley State Resort Park, which comes with two buffet dinners. The Bank of Cadiz will be offering a six-piece luggage set. The Homemakers will be providing three $50 gift certificates for all three area grocery stores. Brown said that all 11 individual Homemakers clubs, which make up TCEH, would each be donating several items for door prizes.
