“Vendors need to start calling us right away,” said Homemakers member Charlott Brown.
Brown said the price for a booth is $20, or $15 if the business brings a table of their own. The show will be June 7 at the Trigg County Recreation Complex’s Lexi Bush Convention Center from 10 a.m. to two that afternoon. She said vendors could reserve as many tables as they needed by call the Extension Office at 522-3269. Although the Extension Office calls vendors who have reserved a booth every year if they haven’t called by a certain date, Brown said most of them contact them directly.
This will be the sixth year the county has had the event, which usually draws a pretty large crowd of not only women, but their families and often community leaders. Brown said the event features booths from health organizations, civic and charity groups in addition to area grocery stores and much more.
Brown said that a donation is asked for at the door and that “really nice door prizes would be given away.” She said they also encourage vendors to do their own door prizes as well. The Homemakers use the proceeds to award two $500 college scholarships.
Brown said that the first deadline would be April 25, and that businesses should call by that time to reserve the best spaces. The final deadline will be May 21.
