Funeral services for Wylie Oliver, 89, of the Wallonia Community of Trigg County, were conducted on Friday, October 27, 2006, at 2:30 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Revs. Shoney Oliver, Ronnie Sivells, and Allan Stokes officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.

Mr. Oliver died on Wednesday, October 25, 2006, at 5:20 a.m., at his home following a short illness.

Mr. Oliver was born on September 19, 1917, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Tryon and Emily Frances Oliver Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was a retired Trigg County School Bus Driver and Farmer, and was a member of the Blue Spring Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Frances Litchfield and Dorothy Lorene Gray.

Survivors include his wife, Julia Elizabeth Merrick Oliver; three sons, Wylie E. Oliver of Trigg County, Edward A. Oliver of Sapulpa, Okla., and Wayne Oliver of Lyon County; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
