Monday is the deadline for parents to register kids online for youth baseball and softball leagues is Monday.

The Trigg County Youth Athletic Association is making a few changes to youth leagues at the Trigg County Recreation Complex this year. Among those changes, Trigg’s leagues are now affiliated with the United States Specialty Sports Association, which allows for automatic entry into the USSSA state tournament in June. .Umpiers will be USSSA certified and governed by USSSA rules.

Games will begin in April (except the youngest leagues), with league tournaments set for the first week of June. In addition, a summer league will start the first week of July.

Player evaluations will be held in mid-February so coaches can draft teams that are more competitive in each aga division. There will also be a mandatory coaches clinic and information session for those interested in coaching.

The previous 9-12 year old league will be split in two (9-10 and 11-12), and a 13-15 league will be offered, as well.
