Funeral services for Beatrice Futrell Hawkins, 85, of Cadiz, were held Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Johnny Hawkins and Robert McIntosh officiated. Burial followed in the Futrell-Skinner Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Hawkins died of natural causes at 10:10 a.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 at her residence in Cadiz.

She was born December 26, 1925 in Trigg County to the late Wylie Aaron and Nancy Jane Dixon Futrell.

Beatrice was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Hawkins; four brothers, Dillard E. Futrell, Luther G. Futrell, Plomer B. Futrell and Amos A. Futrell.

She is survived by one sister Dorothy Coker of Hopkinsville; two sons, Rev. Johnny Hawkins (and wife Connie) of Cadiz and Ronny Hawkins also of Cadiz; two daughters, Dorothy Jolin of Clarksville, Tenn. and Doris Hawkins of Cadiz; seven grandchildren, Ricky Hawkins, Belinda and Melinda Acree, Amanda Belcher, Jason Stalnaker, and Joey and Christopher Jolin; and 13 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stan Summers, Joey Jolin, Chris Jolin, Eric Mayfield, Aaron Hawkins, Ricky Hawkins and Jason Stalnaker.
