Although newly formed five years ago by a group of concerned citizens in the area, the “Friends Group” has become very active in assisting the Kentucky State Park Department in building and maintaining this wonderful facility.
Under the leadership of President Efraim Arrastia, his untiring group of volunteers have contributed thousands of hours to improve upon the finest State Park facility in Kentucky as voted upon by the visitors to the fifty plus facilities. Kentucky is the second largest park system in the U.S., second only to California.
It’s anticipated that several members of the Kentucky State Government will be on hand to acknowledge the efforts of the men and women who take pride in our most beautiful state.
