Funeral services for Doris Jean Fletcher Henwood, 73, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Monday, July 19, 2004, at 12 p.m., at Cadiz Christian Church. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Dr. Tom Martin officiated at the services. Burial followed in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Henwood died on Friday, July 16, 2004, at 3 a.m., at Christian Health Center of natural causes.

Mrs. Henwood was born on October 1, 1930, in Clearfield, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Elvina Keller Fletcher.

Mrs. Henwood was a retired secretary, a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, and was a member of the Cadiz Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Pearl Edmiston, Stella Gill, Della Kline, and Lola Thomas; and one brother, Willis Fletcher.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, John R. Henwood; and a sister, Carrie Geartz of Merritt Island, Fla.

Music was provided by Laura Grigson, pianist.

Serving as pallbearers were Jackie Clark, Mike Davis, Roger Himstedt, David Jones, Craig Perry, and Gary Siegmund.
