Trigg County’s offensive woes continued as the Lady Wildcats suffered a pair of 3-0 losses recently.

The Lady Wildcats lost 3-0 at Webster County Sept. 23 despite a sterling performance from goalie Megan Francis who faced 21 shots in the first half alone.

Francis made several diving stops and saved a goal with a leaping save before

Jenna Tabor scored Webster’s first goal seven minutes into the contest.

Laura Cottingham scored four minutes before halftime to put Webster ahead 2-0.

Ashley Westerman rounded out the scoring for Webster County (4-7-2) with a second half goal.

Freshman goalie Angel Williams picked up the win in goal for the Lady Trojans.

The Lady Wildcats also lost 3-0 at Dawson Springs Sept. 30, but head coach Dana Bush saw some improvement.

"We played better against them than the first time," she said, referring to a 4-1 loss Sept. 14. "We still have some work to do."

Trigg County has now been shutout in three of the last four games and scored just one goal in the other in seeing their record drop to 0-9 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats travel to St. Mary Monday before hosting Reidland Tuesday night in their final home game of the year.
