Funeral services for J.T. Rogers, 89, of Princeton, formerly of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Friday, December 3, 2004, at 10 a.m., at Hughart and Beard Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.

Rev. Tom Hughes officiated at the services. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Rogers died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at 1:15 p.m., at the Princeton Health Care Manor.

Mr. Rogers was born on July 1, 1915, in Christian County. He was the son of the late James and Minnie Tee West Rogers.

Mr. Rogers was a self-employed farmer and carpenter, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lorell Nixon Rogers, in 2001.

Survivors include two sons, Eldridge Rogers of Cadiz, and Bob Rogers of Caldwell County; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
