Chairperson Cindy Greenman said that several of the chairpersons were not able to attend the meeting, therefore not too many important decisions were made. The Committee has decided to meet twice a month until Project Graduation. "People think that it seems so far away, but in reality if we only had one meeting a month until graduation, we would only have five more meetings," said Greenman.
The theme was decided for Project Graduation 2005. This year's theme will be Las Vegas Night.
Coke sales for Project Graduation were successful. The group sold approximately 188 cases of coke. The money made from this fundraiser will help support Project Graduation. The group will now be selling candy bars. Each candy bar costs $1 and has a Pizza Hut coupon worth $2 on the candy bar wrapper. Anyone interested can help sale the candy bars.
Cracker Barrel recently donated a Gold Card that will be raffled off. Greenman thought that the card would be good for dinner for two including appetizers and dessert at Cracker Barrel. The Committee will decide when to hold the raffle.
The Committee is asking anyone interested in Project Graduation to please get involved. "We need help. We need more people to become involved," said Greenman. Community members and Senior parents are all encouraged to attend meetings and help with the event. If there are Junior parents who would like to participate they are more than welcomed. Greenman said that way Junior parents could see how Project Graduation works for next year. "We would love to have anybody and everybody," she said.
The next meetings for Project Graduation 2005 will be held on January 13 and the 27th. They are held in the Trigg County Library and begin at 6 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend. For more information please call Cindy Greenman at 522-1135
