Tenth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration

Genesis Express will sponsor its tenth annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. The event for this year will be celebrated on Monday, January 17.

A short program is being planned to be conducted at the Family Resource Center parking lot beginning at 10 a.m. The Center is located on Main Street, just east of the Cadiz Elementary School.

The program will feature the "Why We March" speech and is scheduled to be presented by George Radford.

A march will then take place beginning at the Center, down Main Street, past the Trigg County Courthouse, up Jefferson Street to the Bloomfield Baptist Church.

Everyone is invited to attend the ceremony beginning at 10 a.m. and to participate in the march.

Beginning at the end of the march, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Rev. Shalmon T. Radford, pastor of Cave Spring Missionary Baptist Church, will be the featured speaker at Bloomfield Baptist Church.

Following the program, refreshments will be served a t the church.
