Many local and out of town friends and relatives honored them by helping them celebrate the event.
The couple were married November 13, 1954 by Brother John Brinn. Mrs. Brooks was the former Sara Ruth Calhoun of Murray, Ky. and Charles was from Gilbertsville, Ky. After graduating from Murray State University they resided in St. Louis from 1956-1995 and returned to Cadiz, Ky, to enjoy retirement on the lake.
