Rev. Irvin Darnall, assisted by Rev. Kevin Roberts, will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in East End Cemetery with Full Military Rites provided by the American Legion Post #74.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 2, after 4 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.
Mr. Tinsley died on Monday, January 31, 2005, at 1:45 a.m., at the Veteran’s Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., of natural causes.
Mr. Tinsley was born on December 10, 1919, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Finis Edward and Sallie Mae Tinsley.
Mr. Tinsley was retired from TVA; served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a POW for 800 days; was a Lifetime member of VFW and DAV; was a Ky. Colonel; and a member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Arvin Tinsley, Lester Tinsley, McKenley Tinsley, Richard Tinsley, and Roy Tinsley; and one sister, Geneva Tinsley.
Survivors include his wife of 58-1/2 years, Elizabeth Grasty Tinsley.
Music will be provided by Gary Thompson, organist, and Bruce Higbee, vocalist.
Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Bo Bright, Buddy Grasty, Herman Litchfield, Layton Litchfield, Hale Nunn, and Donnie Tinsley.
