Funeral services for Hershell H. "Toad" Hargrove, Sr., will be conducted on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at 10 a.m., at Browning Funeral Home in Evansville, Ind.

Rev. Wayne Glass will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Evansville.

Mr. Hargrove died on Sunday, February 20, 2005, at 7:09 a.m., at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville of natural causes.

Mr. Hargrove was born on May 26, 1927, in Cadiz. He was the son of the late James William and Earline McBride Hargrove.

Mr. Hargrove was a retired Mechanic from George Kock & Son in Evansville, with 32 years of service; he was of the Baptist Faith; and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James William Hargrove; and two sisters, Margaret Louise Dunning, and Linda Sue Skinner.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Morrison Hargrove of Cadiz; two daughters, Pamela J. Brown of Evansville, and Debra Ann Hargrove of Cadiz; two sons, Eric Lynn Hargrove of Evansville, and Hershell H. Hargrove, Jr. of Booneville, Ind.; two brothers, Bobby Glenn Hargrove of Evansville, Ind., and E. David Hargrove of Cadiz; five sisters, Mary Lou Braucht of Cadiz, Carolyn Sue Brown of Fountain, Colo., Betty Joy Hood of Bascom, Fla., Martha Jean Oliver, and Judy Katherine Whittinghill, both of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Michelle Goebel, Ricky Howard Brown, Samantha Hargrove, Jackie Nicole Hargrove, and Brent James Hargrove; and two great-grandchildren, Hayly Goebel, and Dylan Doebel.

Serving as pallbearers are Rick Brown, Ricky Howard Brown, Davey Burd, Darren Goebel, Scotty Hargrove, Eric Lynn Hargrove, Hershell H. Hargrove Jr., Bobby Glenn Hargrove, and E. David Hargrove.

Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of all the local arrangements.
