The Kentucky State Police reported last Sunday morning that an alarm at Integra Bank had been tripped due to damage caused by a suspect to the ATM machine.

According to police reports, Trigg County Dispatch received an alarm from the bank at the west location in Cadiz at approximately 1:15 a.m. Upon arrival, KSP Trooper Richie Wright Jr. observed damage done to the ATM machine at the location. It had apparently been forced open.

Wright and the Trigg County Sheriff were investigating the scene when Wright noticed a suspicious vehicle leaving the scene behind the bank.

Wright along with the Sheriff’s Department, Cadiz Police Department pursued the vehicle until it left the roadway onto a dead-end road. The suspect then fled of foot and eluded officers for a short period of time.

Then at approximately 5:30 a.m. an anonymous caller led officers to an undisclosed location on New Hope Road (KY 525) where the suspect was located hiding in a car, according to reports.

The suspect was identified as Robert A. Peterson of Greensburgh, In. and was subsequently arrested for third degree criminal mischief, fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest and other traffic related charges, the report said.

Peterson is currently lodged in the Trigg County Jail and the investigation is continuing by the Trigg County Sheriff and Kentucky State Police.
