Eddie and Lucille Major will be honored with a reception to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, April 3, 2005, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the Locust Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, located on Hwy. 272 in the Caledonia Community in Trigg County.

Eddie Major and the former Lucille Mize were united in marriage on March 31, 1945. Bro. B.B. Boaz performed the ceremony in his home in Hickory, Ky. Their attendants were Monroe McGee and Irene Fourshee Coleman.

The couple’s children and their families will be hosting the event—they are Connie and George Humphries, Janice and James R. Merrick, and Kent Major, all from Cadiz, Jackie and Ronnie Duncan of Jacksonville, Fla., and a foster son, Bill Jones of Clarksville, Tenn.

All friends and relatives are invited to help them celebrate. The couple requests no gifts.
