Bill and Leona Boyd celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on March 26, 2005, with a family dinner at Patti’s 1880 in Grand Rivers, hosted by their children.

Bill Boyd and the former Leona Laird were married on March 26, 1955, at the bride’s family home.

Bro. Boyd Clayton officiated at the wedding. Their attendants were Harry and Ivy Oliver.

The couple had three children, Deborah Mitchell of Hopkinsville, Daniel Kevin Boyd of Lexington, and the late William David Boyd; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Leona works for Coldwell Banker, and is a member of Cadiz Christian Church.

Bill is retired from Johnson Controls, and is a member of East Cadiz Baptist Church.
