Funeral services for Walter "Watt" Goodwin, 76, of Cerulean, will be conducted on Thursday, May 5, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Goodwin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 4, after 4 p.m.

Rev. Reed Shepherd will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Cerulean Cemetery in Cerulean.

Mr. Goodwin died on Monday, May 2, 2005, at 12:25 a.m., at Caldwell County Hospital in Princeton of natural causes.

Mr. Goodwin was born on October 10, 1928. He was the son of the late John Amos and Vera Owen Goodwin.

Mr. Goodwin was a retired farmer, and a member of Cerulean Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Junelle Goodwin; a son, Rodney Goodwin; a sister, Louise Rogers; and two grandsons, Chris Goodwin, and Vance Hancock.

Survivors include his wife, Lucy Goodwin of Cerulean; a son, Stewart Goodwin of Cerulean; two daughters and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Edward Hancock, and Pam Bussell, all of Cerulean; a step-son, Brent Keller of Cerulean; a step-daughter, Genea Wynn of Cadiz; three brothers, Herman Goodwin, and Roy Goodwin, both of Hopkinsville, and Robert Goodwin of Cerulean; two sisters, Irene Holloway of Hopkinsville, and Sue Holloway of Cerulean; eight grandchildren, Eddie P’Pool, Eric Goodwin, Neal Hancock, Scott Hancock, Ashley Goodwin, Adam Wimberly, Katie Hampton, and John Goodwin; three step-grandchildren, Michael Keller, Chelsea Wynn, and Christopher Wynn; and eight great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Goodwin, Kenny Goodwin, Rex Goodwin, Johnny Guinn, Brent Keller, and Daniel P’Pool.

Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Goodwin, Jack Goodwin, Roy Goodwin, Teet McCain, Billy Turner, Malcolm Sons, Willie Wilson, Dr. Frank Giannini, Dr. Debra Wilder, Gene Rogers, Hayden Rogers, Bobby Holloway, Donald Holloway, and Gary Holloway.

Music will be provided by Martha Fortner, organist.
