Funeral services for Mary Alice Davis Jones, 92, of Hopkinsville, were conducted on Thursday, May 12, 2005, at 10 a.m., at the Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville.

Rev. John R. Christian and Rev. Dan Ferguson officiated at the services. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones died on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at 7 a.m., at the Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Madisonville of natural causes.

Mrs. Jones was born on April 28, 1912, in Christian County. She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Lula Johnson Davis.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker; a member of the Second Baptist Church since 1935, where she worked in the nursery for 34 years; was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, and the Woodman Of The World, both since 1943.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willie Keel, in 1975; her second husband, Arvil "Ted" Jones, in 1978; and one son, Willie Keel, Jr., in 1993.

Survivors include three sons, Philip Keel of Hopkinsville, W.L. Jones of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., and Bobby Joe Jones of Sun Lake, Ariz.; two daughters, Mary Davis Wells of Colorado, and Barbara Scott of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Helen "Nanny" Hill; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.
