Funeral services for Regenia Ann Peddy Adkins, 67, of Dover, Tenn., were conducted on Friday, May 13, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Anglin Funeral Home in Dover.

Bro. Jeff Wallace officiated at the services. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Clarksville, Tenn.

Mrs. Adkins died on Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at her residence.

Mrs. Adkins was born on January 26, 1938, in Henderson, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Allen and Kathleen Jones Peddy.

Mrs. Adkins was a receiving clerk at Johnson Controls in Cadiz; a long-time proprietor of the Dover Truck Stop; a member of Holly Springs Methodist Church in Henderson; and a United Steel worker’s Union officer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gilford Adkins.

Survivors include two daughters, Lucy Mai Adkins Wallace, and Ann Adkins Shepherd, both of Dover; a brother, Allen Peddy of Henderson, Tenn.; a sister, Velta Flippo of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were Leonard Adkins, Danny Clark, Brent Peddy, Mark Peddy, Rip Flippo, Mark Burkhart, Bryan Peddy, and Eddie Henley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Stewart County Relay For Life.
