He was a tug boat captain for ARTCO and had worked in the tug boat business for 40 years, 32 years as a captain.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 6, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home in Murray. Rev. Elijah Balentine officiated at the service and burial followed in Ferguson Springs Cemetery in Marshall County, Ky. J. H. Churchill Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mae Smith Wallace and one daughter Mae Lynn Wallace.
Survivors include his wife Inna Stallons Wallace; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Glenn and Beverly Wallace and Chad Cleland Wallace all of Murray. Five sisters: Joann Harvey, Mary Lou Choate, Faye Oakley, Anita Thomas and Gay Ledford all of Cadiz; two brothers: Wendell Wallace of Cadiz and Lacy Wallace of Tampa, Kan.: three grandchildren: Ray Stone, Matt Stone, Lucas Stone all of Murray; one great-grandchild: Wesley Stone of Murray.
