Rev. Frank L. Larkins officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Rocky Ridge Church Cemetery.
Mr. Wilson died on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at 12:20 p.m., at the Veterans Center in Hanson of natural causes.
Mr. Wilson was born on September 15, 1915, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Simon and Rosetta Jessup Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a former Civil Service Employee at Ft. Campbell; was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII as a Rifle Marksman; and was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church in Cadiz, where he served as past president of B.T.U.
Survivors include two sons, Rev. Tyrone Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Belvie Wilson, Jr. of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Peggy Shank of Atlanta, Ga., and Cecily Malone of Hopkinsville; three sisters, Roberta Ladd, and Mary Redd, both of Cadiz, and Pearline Kirby of Bowling Green; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville was in charge of all the arrangements.
