Rev. Wayne George will officiate at the services. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with full military rites.
Mr. Turner died on Saturday, June 18, 2005, at 7:15 a.m., at his residence of natural causes.
Mr. Turner was born on June 13, 1947, in Robinson, Ill. He was the son of the late Clara Irene Turner Conner.
Mr. Turner had been an Insurance Agent for National Life & Combined Insurance Companies; had worked for American Olean Tile Company in Lewisport, Ky.; had been employed by the Trigg County Schools Transportation Department for several years; was of the Baptist Faith; and was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served with 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Wanda Raymer Turner of Cadiz; step-father, Charles Connor of Owensboro; two daughters, Charlotte Lynne Taylor of Des Allemands, La., and Pamela Kaye Nigreville, Lafayette, La; a step-sister, Becky Howard of Hollyridge, N.C.; four grandchildren, Stefanie Kocke, and Brandon Taylor, both of Baton Rouge, La., and April Taylor of Des Allemands, La., and Jared Nigreville of Lafayette, La.; three great-grandchildren, Abby Benoit, Lauren Benoit, and Aiden Kocke, all of Baton Rouge, La.; aunt, Christine Turner of Robinson, Ill; several cousins; and a close friend, Bo Jones of Cadiz.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bo Jones, Greg Harper, Kenny Thurman, Orville Sells, Mike Pilarski, and James Keeton.
