Funeral services for William Jackson “Willie Jack” Grant, 87, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Cadiz, were conducted on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at 1 p.m., at Lamb Funeral Home in Hopkinsville.

Rev. Phillip Brumfield officiated at the services. Burial followed in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West, in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Grant died on Sunday, July 10, 2005, at 11:05 a.m., in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Grant was born on April 20, 1918, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Jack and Bessie Gresham Grant.

Mr. Grant served in the U.S. Army; was a carpenter; was a member of the VFW; and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Glenn Flynn Grant of Hopkinsville; two sons, Ray Grant of Princeton, and Jimmy D. Grant of Hopkinsville; two brothers, Jessie Grant and Norris Grant, both of Cadiz; and two sisters, Emma Dixon of Hopkinsville, and Addie Grant Noel of Cadiz; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.
