According to a report from the department, two black males entered the motel at approximately 5 a.m. last Tuesday and demanded money. The suspects also allegedly assaulted the desk clerk who was on duty at the time.
No weapons were used in the assault, although it was reported by police that the clerk was threatened with a weapon.
She was taken to Trigg County Hospital for treatment and later released. Chief of Police Hollis Alexander was not positive on the extent of her injuries, however said “they were not life-threatening.”
The assailants allegedly received an undisclosed amount of cash from the motel, assaulted the clerk and then fled the scene.
