A Cadiz man was charged with possessing child pornography last week. According to a Kentucky arrest warrant, Keith Bingham, of 1240 Cerulean Rd., “was found to be in possession of obscene pornographic matters portraying sexual performance by minors.”

Bingham is 19 years old.

The photographs were found during an investigation on June 10, after the car in which Bingham was riding was stopped so a warrant could be served. A search of the car allegedly revealed crack cocaine “in plain view” in addition to a pipe.

Photographs dated April 9 were also found depicting Bingham and a minor “possessing handguns” near the intersection of Cavanaugh and Line Street. For these pictures, Bingham was charged with “unlawfully providing a handgun or permitting a juvenile to possess a handgun.”

For the pornographic material, Bingham was charged with promoting sexual performance by a minor, possessing material portraying sexual performance by a minor and distribution of that material.

Cadiz Police said if convicted of all counts, all Class D felonies, Bingham could face up to ten years in the Trigg County Jail.
