Dr. Bill Tichenor, assisted by the Revs. J. Bill Jones, and Tim Perdue, officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Scott died on Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at 6:50 p.m., at his residence of an apparent sudden heart attack.
Mr. Scott was born on September 24, 1936, in Caldwell County. He was the son of the late Clyde William, Sr., and Marguerite Farmer Scott.
Mr. Scott was a security Guard at Bremner, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Eddyville.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Patti and Jack Blackburn of Princeton, and Lauri Scott Haberlock of Paducah; one grandson and grand-daughter-in-law, Scott and Becka Blackburn of Nashville, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Katie Blackburn of Princeton; a sister, Wanda Thompson of Princeton; a niece and two nephews.
