Funeral services for Virginia Moore Dycus, 89, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Trigg County, were conducted on Thursday, August 18, 2005, at 7 p.m., at the Baue Chapel of St. Charles, St. Charles, Mo.

Burial followed in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park, Old Route 1331 Memorial Drive, Murphysboro, Ill.

Mrs. Dycus died on Monday, August 15, 2005, at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Mo.

Mrs. Dycus was born on October 28, 1915, in Riverside, Tenn. She was the daughter of the late Banner Alvin and Manie Lou Hunter Moore.

Mrs. Dycus was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bishop Dycus; a son, Bishop Marvin Dycus, Jr.; four sisters, Aubrey Lee Moore, Altha Mae Moore, Lena Rivers Moore, and Onie Myrtle Moore; six brothers, Eugene Edward Moore, Thrace Alvin Moore, Raymond Lester Moore, Gilbert Boyd Moore, James William Moore, and Irl Hunter Moore.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Willard Koch of St. Charles, Mo., and Judy and Larry Thornton of Potter Valley, Calif.; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Dianne Dycus of Michigan Center, Mich.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
