Long time Cadiz Police Chief Hollis Alexander is expected to engage in his first run at an elected office following an anticipated announcement Wednesday (October 19) afternoon. At a scheduled 5 p.m. news conference, Alexander is expected to announce his intentions to seek the democratic nomination for the Trigg County Executive’s office that will be up for grabs next year.

Alexander said the public is invited to attend the news conference that will be held on the front steps of the Trigg County Courthouse.

Alexander, 38, has been chief of police for the city of Cadiz since 1996. He had previously worked for the department between 1988-1991 before leaving for various other law enforcement duties.
