Rev. Irvin Darnall officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Atkins Cemetery in Trigg County with Military Honors.
Mr. Braucht died on Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at 9:15 a.m., at his residence of natural causes.
Mr. Braucht was born on March 23, 1929, in Northumberland, Pa. He was the son of the late Norman William and Marion Shipe Braucht.
Mr. Braucht was a retired construction worker and miner; a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict; was a member of the Baptist Faith; and was a member of the American Legion.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Hubert.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Lou Hargrove Braucht, of Cadiz; two sons, Robert Allen Braucht of Aurora, Colo., and William Wendell Braucht of Gypsum, Colo.; a daughter, Judith Ann Braucht of Cadiz; three brothers, Paul Braucht of Chestertown, Md., George Braucht of Clearfield, Pa., and David Braucht of Coburn, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Christine Vigil, James William Bustamante, Victoria Stevens, Valorie Bedacht, Anna Braucht, Kelly Braucht, David Braucht, Eddy Braucht, and Bobbi Braucht; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Paul Braucht, George Braucht, Timmy Carr, James Bustamante, Eddy Braucht, and David Hargrove.
