Rev. C. L. Brown officiated at the services. Burial followed in Cave Springs Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
Mrs. Barker died on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, at 2:20 p.m., at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home of natural causes.
Mrs. Barker was born on November 18, 1929, in Christian County. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mable Ferguson Johnson.
Mrs. Barker was a homemaker; and was a member of Silver Star Baptist Church in Fairview.
Survivors include six sons, Robert L. Barker of Defiance, Ohio, Willie Barker of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Adrian Barker, Gerald Barker, and Gregory Barker, all of Hopkinsville, and Gary Barker of Cadiz; four daughters, Frances Barker Mays, Barbara Brown, Regina Roberts, and Deneen Barker, all of Hopkinsville; two brothers, James Johnson of Fairview, and Henry Johnson of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Rose Sanders, and Ruth Stewart, both of Hopkinsville; 33 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
