Rev. Dean Ray officiated at the services. Burial followed in the Lamasco Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Adams died on Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at 10:29 p.m., in the Emergency Room of the Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., following a short illness.
Mr. Adams was born on May 15, 1945, in Trigg County. He was the son of the late Lillian Nell Adams Coomer.
Mr. Adams was a carpenter employed by Haydon Bridge Company; and was a member of Lamasco Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Major and Deanie Adams, who reared him; and a grandson, Devin Swatzell.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Peggy Gray Adams of Eddyville; a son, Richard Adams of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Debbie Robinson of Princeton, and Jacquelyn Young of Eddyville; a step-daughter, Denise Estes of Lyon County; a step-son, Barry Hungerford of Mayfield; six step-grandchildren; five sisters, Shirley Ladd of Princeton, Jan Doyle of Hardyville, Kay Doyle of Cave City, Betty Coomer of Glasgow, and Joyce Rigsby of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.
