Funeral services for Pat Jumara, 70, of Cadiz, were conducted on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at 10 a.m., at St. Stephens Catholic Church.

Father Carl McCarthy officiated at the services. Burial followed in East End Cemetery in Cadiz.

Mrs. Jumara died on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at 5 a.m., at her residence of natural causes.

Mrs. Jumara was born on December 20, 1934, in Springfield, Mo. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Johana Gronniger Hilmes.

Mrs. Jumara was retired from Aerojet General as a Claims Processor with 35 years of service; and was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Al Hilmes; and a sister, Agnes Lewis.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Joe Jumara of Cadiz; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Cynthia Jumara of Los Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Deborah Lindsey of Elk Grove, Calif.; three brothers, Bernard “Junior” Hilmes of Rockville, Md., Jimmy Hilmes, and Vincent “Bud” Hilmes, both of Springfield, Mo.; three sisters, Mary Ann Rumker of Kansas City, Mo., Betty Walker of Tempe, Ariz., and Cecil Tarter of Neosho, Mo.; five grandchildren, Tiffany Lindsey, Robin Lindsey, Kyle Lindsey, Robert Jumara, and David Jumara; and three great-grandchildren, Carter Crawford, David Jumara, and Jewalia Jumara.

Serving as pallbearers were Kenny Travis, Ben Hilmes, Bill Rumker, Dave Jones, Bob Jumara, and Mark Lane.

Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
