Every county seat and every City Council spot, including the judge-executive and mayor, will be up for vote come November 2006. Also on the ballot will be several non-partisan positions, including property valuation administrator, sheriff, jailer and multiple school board seats.
As announcements of candidacies roll in, Thomas expects voter turnout numbers to be proportionately high.
“Usually the more candidates there are, the more voters turn out,” she said.
