Funeral services for Bob Holmes, 83, of Kuttawa, were conducted on Sunday, November 20, 2005, at 2:30 p.m., at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.

Rev. Harold Hatfield officiated at the services. Burial followed in Princeton Memorial Gardens with military rites.

Mr. Holmes died on Friday, November 18, 2005, at 2 a.m., at Rivers Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa, following a short illness.

Mr. Holmes was born on February 25, 1922, in Webster County. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Julia Childress Holmes.

Mr. Holmes was a retired Foreman with the Ky. State Highway Department; was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in WWII; was a member of Faith Fellowship in Kuttawa; and a member of VFW and Elks Clubs.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Holmes of Crittenden County; a sister, Mary Ruby Mize Cayce of Cadiz; and two nephews, Jimmy Mize of Cadiz, and Denny Mize of Trigg County.
