Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Department of Highways is seeking public input on the reconstruction of U.S. 68/KY 80 from Aurora to Cadiz. A public hearing is set for Monday, December 5th, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in meeting room "A" at Kenlake State Resort Park at Aurora.

The reconstruction of U.S. 69/KY 80 includes improvements running 17 miles from the Eggner's Ferry Bridge at Aurora through the Land Between the Lakes (LBL) to the Cadiz Bypass.

According to District One Branch Manager for Pre-Construction Tim Choate, the hearing has been scheduled to allow anyone with an interest in the project corridor to review the nature and scope of the project and to express their views on preliminary plans for the new road."

"A handout, containing project information, plans, exhibits and the approved environmental document for the project will be available for public review and comment, Choate said. "We will have a number of video presentations to provide a conceptual view of the new roadway. Representatives from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and our consultants will be available to talk one-on-one with interested parties and answer their questions."
