Thomas Scully of Cadiz officiated at the services. Burial followed in the cemetery.
Mr. Ripley died on Wednesday, November 9, 2005, in Grass Valley.
Mr. Ripley was born on July 21, 1925, in Beedeville, Ark. He was the son of the late Plase and Florence Young Ripley.
Mr. Ripley served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 1st Class for 33 months; and he owned Ripley Trucking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David R. Ripley; four brothers, Benjamin Ripley, James Edward Ripley, Herbert Ripley, and Jessie Ripley; and two sisters, Raye Coleman, and Evelyn Rahske.
Survivors include his wife Gladys C. Ripley of Grass Valley; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. and Thomas Scully of Cadiz; two grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Shawn S. and Amy Scully of Nashville, Tenn., and Benjamin D. Ripley of Grass Valley; two granddaughters, Misty C. Ripley, and Sally K. Thomas, both of Grass Valley; and four great-grandchildren.
