Mr. Shemwell was born July 26, 1987, in Greenville, KY. He was the son of William R. Radford, Jr. of Trigg County and Caroletta Shemwell of Cerulean.
He was a senior at Trigg County High School where he played on the Wildcat Football team. He was also a member of the State Champion Power Lifting Team last year and was preparing for the upcoming weight lifting season. He was a member of Cave Spring Baptist Church in Cerulean.
Visitation services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005, at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at the Trigg County High School Gymnasium. Officiating minister will be Rev. S.T. Radford with burial in Cave Springs Cemetery in Cerulean.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers, Roddrickas Shemwell and Justin Oliver both of Cerulean and two sisters, LaShonda Sims of Bowling Green and O’Sheana Oliver of Cerulean, paternal grandparents, William and Lorene Radford, Sr., of Cerulean.
His maternal grandmother Rosie Shemwell of Cadiz preceded him in death.
Visitation and funeral services will be held jointly with Byrant Boyd.
