Rev. Lester Watson officiated at the services. Burial followed in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Paducah.
Mrs. Dawson died on Friday, January 6, 2006, at 12:40 p.m., at Murray-Calloway County Hospital of natural causes.
Mrs. Dawson was born on December 7, 1927, in Lake City, Ark. She was the daughter of the late Beecher Brogdon and Edna Quinn Brogdon Garner.
Mrs. Dawson worked in Laundry Service, was a childcare aide, and was a member of the East Cadiz Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Henry R. Dawson in 1977, infant daughter, Lillian Alberta Hayden, brothers, Harold Brogdon and Leonard Brogdon, step-brother, Curtis Garner, step-sisters, Marcella Hainley and Wavalene Sims, half-sisters, Louise Maxwell and Laverne Neal preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Hayden and Donald Sisk, Jr., of Cadiz; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Darlene Garner of Paragould, Ark.; step-brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary Garner of Paragould, Ark.; step-grandson and wife, Daniel and Angie Sisk of Evansville, Ind.; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bill Ezell, soloist, and Clarissa King, pianist, provided the music.
Serving as pallbearers were Don Sisk, Jr., Dan Sisk, Dillman Cothren, Barry Smoker, Randall Dawson, and Todd King.
