Memorial services for Rosa Howard Wallen, 81, of Cadiz, were on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, from 4 – 6 p.m., at the Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Rev. O.D. Boyd officiated at the services.

Mrs. Wallen died on Saturday, January 21, 2006, at 6:15 p.m., at Trigg County Hospital of natural causes.

Mrs. Wallen was born on December 11, 1924, in Bardstown. She was the daughter of the late Rueben and Betty (Howard) Howard.

Mrs. Wallen was a homemaker, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church; participated in the Annual Senior Games, Senior Bowling League, Past Member of Quilters Guild, Homemakers Club, and was a very avid poet.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Frank Wallen, Sr., daughter, Carol Wallen; four brothers, Ellis Howard, Lewis Howard, Richard Howard, and Rueben Howard; three sisters, Molly Goolsby, Lucy Perdue, and Esther Jacobs preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Frank Wallen, Jr. of Quincy, Mich., Kenneth Wallen of Cadiz, and Howard Wallen of Winchester; three daughters, Shirley Wallen and Donna Greenfield, both of Cadiz, and Brenda Luttrull of Pembroke; twin brother, Russell Howard of Marshall, Mich.; and a sister, Betty Ruth Lawrence of Bellevue, Mich.
