Dr. Jim Hazelrigg officiated at the services. Burial followed in Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke.
Mr. Thaxton died on Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center following a long illness.
Mr. Thaxton was born on December 8, 1957, in Hopkinsville. He was the son of Herbert C. Sr., and Rosie Wright Thaxton of Hopkinsville.
Mr. Thaxton was a plumber employed by Watson Plumbing; and was a member of the Roaring Springs Christian Church.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Jessica Thaxton of Fairview; and two sisters, Lesa Farmer of Christian County, and Susan Watts of Cadiz.
